Here is where we are starting out from on Wednesday, April 18th. As you can see, we live in a reservoir called Swift Creek Reservoir. Ooops... We don't really live IN a reservoir. We live in the development on the western shores of the lake.
We will take I-95 South to Jacksonville for the first leg of our journey. It is going to be a long haul! I am guessing about 10 hours. We'll be stopping frequently. If we don't, we won't be able to get out of the car! Weather should be decent. Cool in the early morning, perhaps some showers warming to the low to mid 80's by the time we get to Jacksonville. I have two cousins who live there (Jan & Marilyn). But we'll be pretty tired by the time we get there, plus we want to get to Sanibel Island as quickly as possible. We decided to visit with Jan and Marilyn on our way back through Jacksonville on May 5th.
The cats are lucky. They will have Chris to play with when he comes home from work. Most of our packing is done, grass mowed, errands run. Tomorrow, we will focus on checking out the car and loading it up with as much of our stuff as possible so that we can start early Wednesday morning.
