One of many pubs in Durham. This one was pretty lively scene as we walked by later in the evening. Durham is a college town where Durham University plays a large role. As a result, there are many students. This weekend is a "bank holiday" which is a popular holiday across England.
A statue of Charles William Vane Tempest Stewart, the Marquess of Londonderry. A rather imposing statue in Market Square. Really an interesting place to visit. The square is often quite busy with lots of activity.
